Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort (Eagle Beach, Aruba)

The Amsterdam Manor Resort with its superb beach location welcomes guests to spend a relaxing and lovely holiday. The feel is European thanks to the Dutch Colonial style architecture of the building. Examples of Colonial themes show up in the garden areas of the resort with wooden models of old style wells and wheel barrows adding to the charm. Guests can walk across to experience the soft sands and powerful waters of the Eagle Beach. Many shopping plazas, casinos, bars and restaurants are at a walking distance from the resort.

The rooms at the resort are bright with a wooden texture and white beamed ceilings. All the rooms have a balcony or patio with ocean or garden views. Studio rooms have an equipped kitchen and upgraded rooms feature a whirlpool tub, and some add large dining areas.

The amenities of the resort run from outdoor pools, pool loungers and business centers to free gear for snorkelling and a mini market on site. A lending library and coin-operated laundry room are other amenities. The resort is famous for its Mango restaurant. The widespread buffet breakfast menu offered with show cooking and the international cuisine featured for dinner add to the popularity. The bar at the resort runs along the beach side of the hotel and serves cocktails and drinks for guests to enjoy with the ocean views.

Pools are small. The beach parasols available for guest use are almost always taken up even though guests wake early exclusively to mark a place for themselves.

The size of beds in the rooms is small and uncomfortable. Air conditioners are noisy and it's difficult to control the temperature.

Insects like mosquitoes in the rooms and flies in the restaurants pose a nuisance. Wi-Fi is rather slow.
