Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent location
This
hotel is in a great location in central Canberra. Not only is it right in the
heart of the central business district, but it is easy to get to by car too. Also,
there are lots of well-regarded bars and restaurants nearby should you want a
change from the hotel's own in-house facilities.
positive:
Spacious, well-appointed rooms
The
rooms in this modern hotel are said to be spacious, something which helps give
them a luxury feel. The fixtures and fittings are rated highly too, notably in
rooms with kitchens which feature cooking facilities and fancy Nespresso
machines.
positive:
Smart, clean and tidy throughout
On
the one hand, the fact a hotel is clean and tidy should not be considered a
positive point. However, when so many guests make a point of saying that the
hotel is kept in pristine condition then it is well worth a mention. You should
find this place to be pretty much spotless!
Negative Reviews
negative:
Connectivity issues with phone and Wi-Fi
Some
guests have complained that not only does the Wi-Fi signal drop out, making it
a bit frustrating to use the internet, but in some parts of the building there
are problems with mobile phone reception too. This has caused a lot of
frustration, especially as the mobile reception issue is a difficult problem to
resolve.
negative:
Beds on the soft side
Views
on how comfortable beds are is obviously quite a subjective matter, but it is
striking how many guests have said they did not like the soft beds here. If you
prefer a firm mattress, it is something worth bearing in mind.
negative:
Staff could be more welcoming
Though
staff are routinely described as professional, it has been said by many guests that
they are not particularly welcoming or outgoing.
