The Telephone Palace, now home to B13 youth hostel, lies in the center of Balcescu Bulevard in the historic city of Sibiu. The iconic building, similar in architecture to the Metropolitan Club from New York City, was built in 1946. It was initially intended to serve as a headquarters for the national telephone provider service. Today it is a hub of youth activity, housing both the Harley Burger Bar 2.0 and the B13 youth hostel. The hostel’s name is an abbreviation of the address you can find it on: Balcescu Bulevard nr. 13! You won’t have to stray far from here, since you’ll be living in the center of Sibiu’s historic Old Town. Just a short walk down the boulevard will take you to the famous Big Square and Small Square, where you’ll find all sorts of pubs, clubs, restaurants and historic attractions. B13 offers a generous selection of cozy shared rooms with a beautiful view straight onto the most important boulevard of Sibiu. You’ll have ample opportunities to socialize with other guests in the social room. Your safety and the security of your possessions is important to us, so we will provide you with a locker to store all of your valuables, as well as an electronic keycard with which you can access your room. We offer shared rooms of 6, 8,10, 20 beds. In total 180 beds and that makes us the biggest hostle in Romania. We offer a social room where you can socialize . Also a quiet room with a small library where you can study or use your laptop. All the fun and mystery of Sibiu is a short walk away! The beautiful view, social environment and comfortable beds will surely make your travelling experience all the better.
