    Positive Reviews

    positive:

    Lovely welcome

The welcome of the host is the abiding memory guests take away. She is full of charm and seems to sincerely care for her guests. If there's anything you need to know – where to go or eat, she'll be delighted to help you as much as she can.

    positive:

    A few minutes from town

Guests appreciate that if you're going out for the night it is only a ten minute walk to the centre. It is also ideally placed for anyone who is in town to catch a game of rugby (or even to have a flutter on the dogs) with the sports stadium just a couple of minutes away.

    positive:

    Clean and comfortable

Guests agree that the rooms are kept to an immaculate condition. They are spotlessly clean and very cosy.

    Negative Reviews

    negative:

    Expensive for a B&B

Guests often feel that even though the place is run more like a hotel, at the end of the day it is not much more than an ordinary bed and breakfast. Whilst it is nice enough, it doesn't warrant the very expensive rates that they charge. Unless you get a good deal online, you're paying the price of a good quality hotel. If you happen to travel at a special time or bank holiday too, they'll bump the price up even more.

    negative:

    Rooms are small

For the price you are paying, guests expect a decent sized room. They are often disappointed when they find they are pretty small and cramped.

    negative:

    Poor sound insulation

The guesthouse is just off a busy road – and you can hear it. The rooms are poorly sound-proofed and the street noise can be disturbing well into the night. Guests also claim to hear guests in other rooms quite easily, not to mention a loud plumbing system.
