About Casa Dos Barcos

The Casa dos Barcos has two suites, each consisting of a double bedroom with private living room and bathroom, one in the ground floor facing the lake, and the other in the top-floor, with a view of the Chapel. The ground floor also contains a living room equipped with TV, telephone, and Internet connection, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom, for the common use of all guests. The top-floor also contains a game room. The entire house is equipped with central heating, which provides for a comfortable stay during the winter months. Extra beds can be made available upon request and for an additional fee. The Casa dos Barcos is located in the Mata-Jardim José do Canto, which includes the Neo-Gothic Chapel Nossa Senhora das Vitórias, on the south shore of the Furnas Lake in the island of São Miguel. Additional points of interest near the house include: the Lagoa das Furnas Monitoring and Investigation Center at 250m; a “Quinta” with horses for rental at 300m; and a firm that specialises in radical sport activities 500m away. Guests receive a welcome basket containing local produce and can use bicycles and canoes, at no additional cost.
