Approximately two kilometres from Cavour centre, in the unpretentious Odetti hamlet, a young-looking couple has created and organised the fascinating La Casa delle Grottesche. In the middle of the fields there rose up an antique country manor, transformed over the years in a rural house; beside the main body, in which there are still left late seventeenth century characteristics, the stable has been built, topped by a high barn. The story of this house is little known, only the walls and the antique painting were left to speak about what used to be. Nevertheless, its past savour has lost nothing: the rough walls interrupted by blocks of river stones used for saving the bricks; the antique doors and frescoes; then the rooms with rough wooden or stone floors suggesting the colour harmony, are nothing but witnesses who whisper the flowing of time. After some years of work and meticulous restoration this house has been brought at it original beauty. La Casa delle Grottesche takes its name from its beautiful paintings (Grotesques), which have been recreated by the hands of a special artist; thanks to her you will find yourselves in a world of antique flavour, wrapped by warmth and emotions.
