They’re clean, of decent size with adequate storage space and they contain all the things you need.

They try to think of everything; there’s a pool table for free recreation + if wanting to save money, the communal microwave is there for you to heat up food.

It’s only a couple of minutes from the really quite busy town centre with the beach and railway station right next door. Difficult to think of a better, more convenient location.

They charge a very high fee for transacting credit cards and rubbing salt in the room, the owner is known not to dress for the occasion, preferring more casual night attire. IE: just got out of bed. Oh! You pay in full, on arrival; so difficult to get a refund without a fuss.

First thing in the morning, nobody around so breakfast didn’t seem to figure in the owners’ plans for the day. Still, the main thing is they’ve taken your money for it on arrival! Not good practice in anyone’s book!

You book in advance but turn up and find it’s been let to someone else. That’s fair enough if you didn’t pay a deposit, but it’s up to the hotel to put a clearly stated system in -place. If you’ve paid a deposit - + abided by the T+Cs – then the hotel is liable and needs to find an acceptable solution. *in these circumstances, the responsibility is theirs rather than yours.
