Lake Barra Cottages is located between Gympie and Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach. Ideal overnight if heading to Fraser Island. Very quiet location with modern two bedroom, double and two single beds, fully equipped kitchen, lounge, bathroom/laundry. Front deck overlooks 2500 mango trees towards the lakes and northwards. Stay a night or a week, fish in the multiple lakes stocked with Barramundi and Bass. This is the most relaxing place you could imagine. Catch all the stars at night and wake to the numerous birds that visit the area. Kangaroos and Wallabies, Hares and even the friendly Pig form part of the landscape. If you want to go more natural, camping sites are available as well as an area for the grey Nomad's Caravans but you need to be self sufficient. Your stay here will never be long enough! Ongoing developments will see more attractions added as there is an ambitious program to further develop the 240 acres. A disused airstrip is being redesigned and planned to be operational within a year, so buy a plane and fly in! (No 747's) The owners are removing peach trees which have become too labour intensive to plant citrus and avocado. More animals soon! Come visit us!
