Positive Reviews
positive:
Inviting staff.
A hotel with friendly faces will leave you with a good feeling at the Days Inn Bangor. Staff take customer service seriously, and whether attending to a complaint, or simply thanking you for your business, guests felt hospitality was top-notch.
positive:
Ship shape rooms.
A lot of attention was paid to cleanliness, with many guests complimenting the hotel on a job well done in the cleaning department. You can expect to find a neat and tidy room upon arrival.
positive:
Above average breakfast.
The included continental breakfast was plentiful and varied, according to guests. Hot and cold selections were made even better by friendly service and a well-attended breakfast area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
You might need to open a window.
Some guests were left plugging their noses after encountering rooms with a musty smell similar to mildew. Luckily, windows open to let in some fresh air, which may or may not be helpful in the winter months. Guests unhappy with the smell of their room were promptly moved to more satisfactory conditions.
negative:
Swimming pool a cozy affair.
While the swimming pool is handicap accessible, it doesn't offer much space. Guests felt it was more like a wading pool, with no more than four people enjoying it comfortably at a time.
negative:
Elevator woes.
If you are in Bangor to shop until you drop, or if climbing the stairs just isn't your thing, you might be disappointed with the lack of elevator. This two-story hotel is manageable for most, but guests wished they knew ahead of time about the potential climb.
