Positive Reviews
positive:
Pleasantly surprised with value.
Expectations were surpassed at the Sleep Inn Sarasota. Many guests didn't get their hopes up because of the low room rate in an otherwise expensive area. But in the end, they patted themselves on the back for making a great choice. Free breakfast and amenities of other, more costly hotels sealed the deal for a return visit.
positive:
Customer service for the win.
A helpful and happy front desk staff, combined with a courteous cleaning crew and flexible manager made for an enjoyable stay at the Sleep Inn Sarasota. Guests felt their patronage was genuinely appreciated, and enjoyed the customer service they received.
positive:
Great for walking.
If you want to leave the car behind, several shopping, dining and entertainment options are a stroll away. To get to Lido Beach, you'll have to pack up your sunscreen and drive ten minutes, but guests were happy with the option to walk to many attractions.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Spotty Wi-Fi.
If you have business to attend to, or like to check your email often, the unreliable Internet might be a problem. Some guests found the free Wi-Fi to be average at best, and weren't impressed with the slow service.
negative:
Questionable parking lot.
Several guests expressed concern over the hotel's back parking lot. Eyebrows were raised when questionable characters loitered in the lot, especially when parking at night. Some guests wanted to see the Sleep Inn Sarasota beef-up security for the sake of guest safety.
negative:
Hard to be unsatisfied.
Despite minor concerns like smaller rooms and bathrooms, a pool that needed a bit more cleaning, and a cramped breakfast area, most guests were happy with their stay and appreciated the extras included in their low room rate.
