Guesthouse The Burrow Guest House (Tarxien, Malta)

Guests were routinely treated to pleasant interactions and great conversation at The Burrow. Thoughtful owners who made everyone feel welcome were the highlight of many guests' stay.

Guests loved the vibe of this traditional stone house, which was resplendent with antique furniture, and interesting historical decor. Guests felt that they were given a true taste of the local culture by staying here.

Only three kilometres from the airport, guests were able to arrive and kick off their shoes in no time. Another plus was the close proximity to the Hypogeum of Ħal-Saflieni, not to mention Marsaxlukk, which guests found to be an easy 15-minute car ride away.

Many guests wished that there were more local businesses within walking distance. Those who wanted to grab a quick bite to eat, or stop in to a few shops, were faced with a long walk toward Paola. Guests advised bringing a car, but also encouraged potential guests to study directions carefully, as The Burrow can be hard to find.

Some guests were frustrated with Internet access that was only possible from the main lobby. If you are reliant on Wi-Fi to get some work done, you might want to keep this in mind.

Staff weren't always around, and several guests observed a vacant front desk or breakfast area. The busy owner of this bed and breakfast is also reportedly raising her large family at the same location, and guests had to compete for attention from time to time.
