The Holiday Inn Spokane underwent an interior renovation in 2015, and guests are generally impressed with the result, describing the rooms as "modern", "tasteful", and "sparkling clean." Guests also find that they have plenty of space, and often report a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed.

Many guests give the front desk staff rave reviews for their personable and professional customer service, noting that they are quick to make weary travelers feel right at home. The freshly baked cookies in the lobby are well appreciated to this end as well. The indoor, heated saline pool also gets rave reviews, particularly from those who are sensitive to chlorine.

Many guests choose the Holiday Inn Spokane as a stopover before an early morning flight, noting that though the airport is only two miles away, they are not bothered by noisy jets. The complimentary shuttle to the airport, as well as other destinations such as the Northern Quest Casino, is a much appreciated service.

A few guests in rooms facing the highway were disturbed by traffic noise. Others reported being able to hear their fellow guests walking overhead or talking in the room next door.
