The Bustiello Youth Hostel is one of the four youth hostels, which exist in Asturias and which are integrated into the Spanish Network of Youth Hostels, from now on REAJ, is a network that in turn is integrated into Hostelling International, which has with more than 4000 accommodations around the world. We are located in the Mining Town of Bustiello, in the council of Mieres and a few hundred meters from our two neighboring councils Aller and Lena, we are in the Central Asturian Mountain, more specifically in the area called “Protected Landscape of the Mining Basins”. Our facilities are located in what was the old children's school, a building that began to be built at the end of the 19th century and which functioned as a school until 1968. Then it would fall into oblivion until at the end of the nineties, Hand in hand with the workshop school, the recovery of the building began, once restored it became dependent on the Principality of Asturias, which is when it became the current youth hostel, it was the year 2000. Since its opening, hostels have passed through our facilities from the most diverse corners of the world, of all ages, creeds and colors. We have as regular clients folk groups, sports teams, mountain clubs, groups of friends, families and in winter also people who come to enjoy the snow; We can say there are of all ages, from a few months to octogenarians. We are located in the center of the cycling paradise, they go out with their bikes without the need for a car to mythical climbs, such as Angliru, Cotobello, La Cobertoria, Gamoniteiro, Ermita del Alba or La Cubilla among many others and BTT lovers are within the Ring Cyclist, in the not too distant future it will be one of the most important routes for this type of bicycle in Europe; We are also in a privileged hiking enclave very close to the Redes and Ubiñas-La Mesa parks, half an hour from the Bear Valley and twenty minutes from Oviedo and half an hour from Gijón, the beaches of this city next to that of Rodiles they are the closest to us. The value that highlights the most what they know us, is the good hand of Dulce in the kitchen and her generosity, the familiar treatment that we maintain with the hostelry at all times and we put all our knowledge at your disposal so that everything is much easier in the days they share with us.
