Positive Reviews
positive:
Accommodations are very clean
Much praise goes towards the high level of cleanliness in the accommodations. Bedrooms, common areas, and bathrooms are maintained very well, and are a main source of the great reputation that guests pass along about this place.
positive:
Staff are a pleasure to be around
The staff take great pride in where they work, and in attending towards guests. They're very interactive and friendly, and put a lot of attention in helping everyone have a great time. They're always around for info, and to lead or participate in games, and arrange for tours and discounts for many sites of interest.
positive:
Terrific location for public transit
You can easily pick up a train or bus from the hostel, and quickly get to several popular attractions. It's also just as easy to get to public transit for longer travels, or to help after you've been out late and don't want to walk back.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Uncomfortable with no air conditioning
The lack of air conditioning really affects guests at times, especially if the rooms are filled to capacity, and there's a lot of body heat to contend with. It's also tough to just use fans to combat warm outside temperatures.
negative:
Wi-Fi isn't strong at all
It's disappointing to have such a weak or inconsistent Wi-Fi signal, particularly when you're travelling about and are relying on constant online communication and updates for loved ones. Keep in mind you may have to step outside or to a nearby place to maintain a better signal.
negative:
Too many rules that offset a laid back atmosphere
Some guests consider there to be too strong a set of rules, particularly for a place that promotes such a laid back ambiance. Just be mindful, and know that the hostel is not without some order to their fun.
