Hotel Avalon Waterfront Inns (Fort Lauderdale, USA)

Guests loved the location of the hotel, right on the beach and the boardwalk. You are just a couple blocks away from the restaurant area which has many great dining options and bars, as well as shopping and entertainment.

The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette with dishes, a microwave, coffeemaker and fridge if you'd like to have a snack at home.

There were mixed reviews about service but guests said that the managers were really helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They're willing to help you book tours. Early check-ins and late check-outs are often accommodated if requested.

Guests found the housekeeping to be not attentive to detail. Upon check-in, guests found stained sheets, hair in the sink and mold growing in the bathroom. The windows seemed dirty and the smell in the hotel was displeasing.

Though the hotel appears to have a vintage feel, the rest of the hotel is just simply old and in need of a facelift. The walls need to be repainted - it is currently peeling off in many rooms. The carpet appears to be dirty and in need of replacement. Two guests noted that the shower head and sink were loose in their room.

The hotel says it offers free Wi-Fi but guests reported that it doesn't work outside the lobby area. Other guests felt mislead about the parking, which was promised to be free at the time of their reservation, but had to be paid for upon their arrival. Guests also noted that the parking gets full easily in the evening so you may not find a spot to park in if you arrive late.
