Hotel Breakwater South Beach (Miami Beach, USA)

The hotel is located directly across the street from the beach. Local cafes and restaurants are a short walk away, and within 20-minutes' walk you can reach the Lincoln Road Mall and New World Symphony.

The rooms are beautifully furnished with bright and modern furnishings. Guests reported that the rooms are comfortable, well presented and spotlessly clean. Some guests enjoyed rooms with ocean views and private balconies, while those without a view were still able to enjoy the views from the rooftop terrace.

The staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable regarding special events and local activities, which they are happy to advise guests on.

While the majority of reviews have been favorable, there have also been a high number of reviewers reporting issues with the level of cleanliness. Several guests reported having stained furnishings and unclean bed sheets in their room, as well as stained carpets in the hallways. Housekeeping staff were also found to be unreliable at times as new arrivals have found rubbish from previous guests in the room.

The hotel hosts a nightclub on the premises and the guest rooms are not well insulated against the noise which can be heard during the day and into the evening. Some guests reported difficulty sleeping due to frequent and loud level of music playing at the nightclub. Guests recommended the hotel as a party venue, but not if you would like a quiet nights' sleep.

While the hotel advertises a complimentary breakfast and free use of bicycles, guests reported that use of these services will incur an additional charge.
