Hotel Briarwood Inn (Carmel-by-the-Sea, USA)

The location of this property has proved to be one of its most appealing features. Guests have found Carmel-by-the-Sea very walkable and note that the property is within easy reach of dining and attractions. Another highlight is the proximity of Big Sur.

Previous guests have tended to rate the standard of service offered at this B&B highly. There have been occasional disappointments but, on the whole, the staff is described as friendly and helpful and it does seem unlikely that you will encounter any significant service related issues.

Due to the wide variety of accommodation options here, feedback does differ. Some rooms are found to be a little on the small side but many of the units are described as spacious. Above all and perhaps most importantly, guests have found the rooms and suites clean, comfortable, and well equipped.

Guests have found that there is room for improvement where breakfast is concerned. The main disappointment is the choice available on the buffet which is found to be fairly sparse. Guests also mention that the dining area is a bit of a tight squeeze.

Although complimentary off-road parking is available here, not all rooms and suites benefit from assigned parking. Alternative street parking is highly regulated and limited to a few hours at a time, so you may find yourself having to continually move your car.

Previous guests have occasionally questioned the room rates at this property, finding them a little on the high side. Rates are typically fairly high in Carmel-by-the-Sea but, nonetheless, the value for money here seems questionable, especially given the sparse breakfast choices.
