Hotel Congress Hall (Cape May, USA)

Congress Hall has a real historic charm to it. While it has been renovated and updated, it still retains a sense of its past and of its integrity. The ambience is lovely, whether you are spending time by the real wood fireplace, enjoying a drink in the Brown Room or just taking in the view, you'll feel relaxed.

The building is in an excellent position. It is within walking distance of downtown and the beach is just a few steps away. There are plenty of places to eat and drink not too far from here.

The breakfast here is really good, with a decent selection of items from which to choose, all if which is really well presented and tasty.

Some of the soundproofing at this hotel isn't very good. You might hear what is going on in neighboring rooms or from people on the stairs. You might also be disturbed by the sounds of bottles being put into the bins and of people arriving at the property in the morning.

Congress Hall is a 19th Century building and therefore retains some of its quirks. Some of the floors have quite a big slope, might can be unsetttling. Also, a few of the bedrooms are rather on the small side.

You might struggle to get online from the comfort of your room as the signal doesn't quite seem to stretch to all corners of the hotel. If you have something important to do online, you may need to head to a public area.
