Hotel Courtyard by Marriott Decatur (Decatur, USA)

Courtyard by Marriott Decatur recently updated and remodeled all of their rooms. Rooms are modern and well-appointed with plenty of space to move around in. Beds have also been updated and are very comfortable and would suit most preferences. Cleaning staff do a wonderful job in keeping rooms and en suites clean and fresh.

Hotel staff throughout the hotel offer kind and courteous assistance to all guests of the hotel. Staff are professional and polite. Front desk staff are great at offering advice on what attractions are best to visit, where to eat and even directions on how to get there.

While most hotels seem to suffer from poor or unreliable Wi-Fi signal performance, Courtyard by Marriott is the opposite. Wi-Fi signal strength is very good and offers reliable service. The hotel also offers wired internet connection for those that prefer direct connection.

The location of the hotel can be noisy as there is a main thoroughfare on one side of the hotel and a railway line on the other. This means that both sides of the hotel can be noisy and this may be problematic for light sleepers.

This hotel does not offer a complimentary buffet breakfast option and guests must choose to either eat at the onsite bistro or at the Starbucks Café, also onsite and at their separate expense.

Another issue that may disturb some sensitive sleepers or those that may need to be up early for meetings is the room air conditioner. A number of guests have noted that the room air conditioners tend to switch on and off through the night and can be quite loud.
