Negative Reviews
negative:
Ready for renovation..
Guests often comment that the Doubletree Memphis Downtown is an older building, and describe the rooms as "tired" or "worn-out", with dated furnishings, carpet, drapery, and bathroom fixtures. Some unlucky guests had trouble with the aging plumbing or air conditioning systems during their stay. The energy efficient lighting is a bit too dim and "depressing" for some as well.
negative:
Mandatory valet parking..
Though most guests find the valet staff pleasant and professional, a few guests have been inconvenienced by a long wait or a long queue in the driveway when they were attempting to pull up and check in. Some also feel the rate is too high.
negative:
Housekeeping matters..
A few guests felt let down by the overall level of housekeeping in their rooms, or else found that their rooms were "skipped" entirely a few nights during their stay.
