Previous guests were highly impressed with the high quality standards of the beds. The pillows were not just soft and smooth but were also made of good quality material while the mattresses were comfortable and clean enough, allowing guests to sleep soundly at night.

The hotel's breakfast buffet offered wide selection of Malay and Western cuisine. Food was delicious and satisfying according to most guests. They offer huge variety of food, especially on Fridays, so guests were able to enjoy more breakfast items.

Centrally located within the downtown area of Kota Kinabalu, most guests are able to travel in the surrounding areas conveniently. The hotel is also near major establishments such Merdeka Stop, Atkinson Clock Tower, Wisma Merdeka, Signal Hill Observatory Tower, and Suriah Sabah. Moreover, it is closely situated to the Gaya Street where famous dining options, shopping areas and coffee shops are found.

Most of the negative reviews were focused on the poor Wi-Fi. The Internet was very unstable so guests were not able to connect properly especially inside the rooms or at the upper floors. Guests can only access the Internet in the lobby area which was very difficult especially for business travellers.

Guests had issues with the poorly functional air-conditioning inside the rooms, as most units were not working property. It was mostly hot inside the rooms since the air-conditioning units were not enough to cool the place, and there was no fan available as option.

The exact layout and size of the rooms were quite small according to most guests. Thus, some had to upgrade their rooms from standard to superior double or deluxe rooms for a more comfortable size and view.
