A simple two star hotel directly opposite the Maharajalela monorail station in Kuala Lumpur, Grid 9 is a three minute drive from the Berjaya Times Square shopping and entertainment centre. Single, twin, double and triple rooms are available here, along with dormitory rooms too. All the rooms here have their own ensuite bathroom, are air conditioned and have a flatscreen TV. Relax in the guest lounge, play some pool, use the iPads, or just kick back on the bean bags and watch a movie. Free Wi-Fi is also provided here. The Grid 9 Gastropub is open throughout the day, serving Asian cuisine alongside hot dogs and tapas. You can also order coffee, tea, juice, and even something stronger like a beer or a whiskey. The Petronas Towers are a 15 minute drive from Grid 9, and the Royal Selangor Golf Club can be reached in a ten minute drive.

A nice cheap and cheerful place to stay.

Grid 9 is no luxury hotel, but it is very good value for money. The room rates here are hard to beat, so if all you need is a comfy bed to rest your head then this is the place for you.

Convenient central location in Kuala Lumpur.

Close to Stadium Merdeka and a short walk from China Town, there is lots to do nearby to the hotel. This place is also directly opposite the Maharajalela monorail station so you can easily get around the city.

There is a real friendly atmosphere at this hotel, with all the people working here happy to help you out and have a chat. Also if you have any problems with your room the staff will make sure you are moved to a better room.

Good luck trying to use the free Wi-Fi.

Perhaps there are too many people trying to use the Wi-Fi at the same time, or maybe it's just very slow. Either way, trying to do anything quickly using the free Wi-Fi is pretty much impossible.

The rooms here are small and basic.

If you need more in the way of room facilities than just a TV and air conditioning then this place is not going to be for you. The rooms are really cramped and leave little space for luggage.

Cleanliness is not a strong point of Grid 9, in fact it is very inconsistent. Some rooms are in good condition, while others have marks on the walls and funky smells. It's best to check your room before taking it.
