Hotel Hampton Inn & Suites Destin (Destin, USA)

Hotel rooms are superbly clean. There's no dirty carpet, cracked sinks, chipped paint, and broken furniture. The décor is refreshing and the room has a nice layout.

The location is great. You are close to various attractions and activities within walking distance. For dining the Back Porch restaurant is great. The go carts are family fun along with the Big Kuhuna.

The beautifully maintained outside salt water pool is fantastic. You can certainly tell the difference from regular pools. Saltwater pools are easier on the skin and you can feel the difference.

The beach is not right there at the hotel. You have to walk a bit and go down two blocks, cross the street, then walk a couple more blocks. Though there's nothing wrong with that, don't think that you are going to walk out the door of the hotel and voilà there's the beach.

Perhaps it's a matter of personal taste what constitutes a good breakfast; nonetheless, the hotel offers biscuits but no gravy, cereal, waffles, fruit, but there is no sausage, bacon, or eggs. Though it's not terrible, for the price you pay, it could be better.

None of the rooms really have a gulf view, they are just on the gulf side. In fact, the view is of the building across the street!
