Hotel HM Beach Inn (South Male Atoll, Maldives)

Guests were generally satisfied with the location of the Visit Beach Inn which is close to the bus terminal, restaurants and shops. The hotel's proximity to Male International Airport also made it a convenient stop for guests with early morning flights.

The relatively inexpensive price of this hotel was one of the few positives noted by guests.

Complaints about  a variety of insects were reported. Guests described cockroaches on the bedroom and bathroom floors and ticks,bugs and insect eggs in the bed linens. Several guests reported bites, itching and rashes after sleeping in the beds. For some guests, the problems were so severe they requested alternative rooms, other chose to check-out early.

Reviews of this hotel were overwhelmingly negative with guests reporting numerous complaints ranging from old and stained bed linen, uncomfortable beds, clogged bathroom sinks and showers and a poor standard of cleanliness. Some guests said the hotel lacked even basic amenities, others complained about renovation noise in the area around the hotel. According to some guests Visit Beach Inn was by far their worst hotel experience while others warned potential guests to avoid at all costs.

Given the numerous complaints about Visit Beach Inn, guests say the indifferent and sometimes hostile attitude of staff members only increased the negative experience. Unhappy guests who asked about refunds or compensation for their discomfort said management was unresponsive and seemed unconcerned.
