Positive Reviews
positive:
The restaurant will please everyone
Guests not only had many compliments concerning the quality of food served at the in-house restaurant, particularly concerning the breakfast, but they especially appreciated the selection of foods available. With Dolce Palisades drawing in conference attendees from many different nationalities and walks of life, the section was sufficiently ample to please everyone.
positive:
It has character
The building is an old IBM training center, and when it was remodeled they left quite a few things behind, creating a sort of mini museum to IBM that guests found fascinating. Continuing with that theme, the hotel is decorated with many other monuments to the history of technology, like a model of Da Vinci's self-driving cart.
positive:
The grounds are beautiful
Many guests enjoyed a stroll on the hotel grounds. It is located in the middle of a 30-acre park, dotted with flowering trees, gardens, perfectly minced grass, and a duck pond.
Negative Reviews
negative:
It's not precisely a hotel
Dolce Palisades isn't really a hotel. It's a state-of-the-art conference center which includes many amenities make things more comfortable and convenient for conference attendees', and one of those things is hotel rooms. Some guests who simply dropped in for a night felt as though they were not treated like a priority by the front desk or at the restaurant, and would not stay again if they didn't have business here.
negative:
It's a little run down
Even guests who were overall quite happy with their experience at Dolce Palisades could not help but notice that it's beginning to show signs of wear. The furniture in the guest rooms in particular could use replacing or reupholstering.
negative:
The rooms are not sound proofed well
While guests on the top floor did not experience any problems during their stay, everyone who stayed below them reported that they could hear every step they took.
