Located in trendy Potts Point, in an old mansion house, the Holiday Lodge is perfectly located for a budget getaway to Sydney. Modest rooms feature at home amenities including microwaves, mini-fridges and a TV. Tea and coffee lovers will appreciate these facilities for their morning caffeine hit. The hotel is close to public transport and reception can arrange paid parking for guests prior to arrival. There is a cafe on-site and a BBQ area for guest use. There are a number of popular restaurants and cafes a short distance from the hotel. The closest supermarket is a three minute walk from the Holiday Lodge. Whilst in Sydney be sure to check out Taronga Zoo, Sydney Aquarium, Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay or take a stroll through the Rocks and soak up the atmosphere of Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera house which is a 25 minute walk from the hotel .

A common theme amongst reviewers was that this property represented good value for money in central Sydney where prices can be inflated and out of the budget travellers reach.
The central location of the hotel was by far and away the most talked about thing across reviews. Guests said they liked that the hotel was close the famous Landmarks at Sydney Harbour and it was easy to catch public transport to visit local attractions further afield.
Guests not impressed by the hotel commented that because of the standard of accommodation and the age of the hotel, they felt that the hotel had more of a hostel feel about it. Guests complained it was not very clean, had basic amenities, it had no air conditioning and no parking.
Guests complained via their reviews about the lack of basic maintenance around the hotel with many commenting that they expereinced broken TV's, blown lightbulbs, leaks in the ceiling, broken fans and broken blinds that needed immediate attention.
Guests reported smelling a few unidentified smells during their stay at this hotel whilst others commented that the smells were definitely damp and musty. Guests also thought that after years of being smoke-friendly the hotel had not been able to get rid of the stale cigarette smell.
