Despite many guests reporting that this hotel was fairly tranquil, for some light sleepers the location near a hospital meant ambulance sirens and traffic noise were audible at times in certain rooms, causing them a nuisance.
The cocoon design concept of the rooms wasn't to everybody's taste and some critics felt the en suite shower and toilet were effectively just cubicles. Moreover, there were several visitors who felt the rooms were pretty small, especially at full occupancy.
