Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean, comfortable rooms with all the basics...
Guests generally find the rooms very clean and comfortable, with simple, modern decor, comfortable beds, good showers, and decent wi-fi. Travellers on a budget often comment that the hotel offers exceptional value for money.
positive:
A great first impression...
Guests widely describe the overall look of the hotel's lobby and other public areas as very modern, inviting, and playful. Most are greeted by friendly, knowledgeable personnel at reception who are happy to provide directions and travel suggestions. Compliments also go to the chef on the nicely presented breakfast buffet and the burgers in the bar.
positive:
A good base for exploring Old Town...
Some guests find the name a little misleading as the ibis Warszawa Stare Miasto is not in Old Town but just outside, about a 10 or 15-minute walk. Those who prefer a lift note that there are bus and tram stops in front of the hotel, and that public transport in Warsaw is very affordable, reliable, and fast. Taxis are often waiting at the back entrance, too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Absolutely no frills...
Though most guests do not expect luxury from the ibis chain, some are dismayed by the lack of tea or coffee facilities, alarm clocks, and notepads in the rooms.
negative:
Not much on television...
International travellers note that there are only a few English channels on television, and the programming is mostly news. The televisions are also described as very small. However, many guests find they are able to get around this issue by using the wi-fi on their tablets.
negative:
Uneven customer service...
Though many guests leave rave reviews from the staff, others are less impressed. Long queues, unanswered phone calls to reception, unsmiling faces, and overwhelmed breakfast staff are among the reported issues.
