About Hotel Jávea
Situated in an enviable position, close to the marina, and barely 100 yards from the beach, Javea Hotel offers guests chic and design conscious accommodation ideal for a sophisticated beach break.
The rooms have been recently renovated and are very stylish. Each features en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, minibar, in-rooms safe, hairdryer and telephone. Many rooms have beautiful sea views.
Javea is a small establishment, and there are few public facilities. Reception is open limited hours and can assist with local information, tours and bike rentals. There is free parking nearby, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Attico Restaurant is an elegant venue with wonderful views over the Mediterranean, and has an extensive menu featuring Mediterranean specialities.
The main attraction is, of course, the beach just steps away. The small craft harbour, from where boats can be rented, is just 300 yards from Javea.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Nice boutique hotel atmosphere
The hotel is a bit on the smaller side, and lacks some of the amenities of larger properties, but this didn't seem to bother guests in the slightest. On the contrary, they describe a very cosy and intimate atmosphere that they seemed to prefer to the anonymity of a larger hotel.
positive:
Exceptional central location
As far as most guests were concerned, the location couldn't possibly be surpassed. They describe it as right by the beach, and just a very short walk from the marina and the town centre. They felt that both their leisure and other requirements could easily be met within simple strolling distance.
positive:
Great views and food to be had in the restaurant
It was hard to find anything negative written about the on-site restaurant. The food was said to be excellent, but even better was the view. It is on the top floor of the hotel, and guests describe magical views out over the Mediterranean.
Negative Reviews
negative:
No tea or coffee making facilities
This was mentioned by quite a few guests. While free tea and coffee is available for a short time in the mornings, there is otherwise not really anywhere for guests to just pick up a quick hot beverage. Most felt that it would make sense to have facilities in their room for this.
negative:
Rooms are very small
This was also a very common complaint. The standard rooms were described as exceptionally small. Many felt a bit uncomfortable in them, and thought they were not really suitable for much more than sleeping and bathing.
negative:
Breakfast starts very late
Quite a few guests complained that breakfast is only available from very late. While this is of course the Spanish custom, they were hoping that allowances would be made for other visitors.
