Positive Reviews
positive:
Great pool and hot tub
The pool and hot tub were perhaps guests' favorite features. They are indoor and available to use throughout the year. Guests found the hot tub to be a lifesaver at the end of a long and sometimes difficult day, since it let them soak away their cares and troubles.
positive:
Professional and welcoming staff
It was near impossible to find a bad word written about the staff. They were invariably described as incredibly welcoming and friendly, but also posssesing the kind of professional attitude that gave guests confidence that they had a firm handle on things.
positive:
Convenient location
While some distance from Manhattan, guests nevertheless found the location convenient since there was a public bus that could be caught nearby that would take them all the way into the city in just over an hour.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A bit of a noisy location
The hotel is situated very close to some busy roads, and although the windows are double-glazed, guests say that wasn't enough to keep the noise of the cars passing by out the rooms. Light sleepers were especially likely to have their sleep disturbed as a result.
negative:
Mediocre breakfast
There were not many kind words written about the breakfast. The most complimentary statement was that it was “OK”. While it is “free”, or rather included in the room-rate, many felt it was too basic to really be called a proper hotel breakfast.
negative:
Problem with overbooking
Several guests mentioned that they booked a specific room, for example one with a King size bed, only to be told on arrival that there were no more rooms of this type left and be allocated a different room. Guests felt that their reservation should be respected and the hotel shouldn't assign rooms already booked to others.
