Positive Reviews
positive:
Great indoor pool and hot tub
Going by the comments, it seems this was guests' favorite feature of the hotel. The pool is heated, so open all year round, and it seems guests enjoyed taking a refreshing dip in the pool and soaking the stress of the day away in the hot tub.
positive:
Convenient for the I-80
Several guests mentioned that they found the proximity of the I-80 on-ramp very convenient. It meant that they didn't need to negotiate busy city streets before speeding along the highway to their destination.
positive:
Very clean
While there were serious problems with the age of the facilities, most guests agreed that the hotel's housekeeping staff did a good job keeping the rooms and public areas in tip top shape.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Problems with room assignments
While, unfortunately, this is all too common at hotels, a number of guests reported that they booked a certain type of room, only to be told on arrival that no rooms of that type remained and be given a room they did not want. They felt that the hotel should have honored the booking rather than giving “their” rooms to another guest for operational reasons.
negative:
In desperate need of a makeover
A large number of guests were quite unhappy with the appearance and state of repair of the buildings, especially the exterior. They felt that it was clear that basic maintenance had been neglected and that the hotel now required major work to bring it up to a reasonable standard.
negative:
Very poor breakfast
Guests really did not seem to much enjoy the breakfast. It was described as a pretty basic continental version with little variety, especially for those who were not keen on an exceptionally high carbohydrate meal to start the day.
