Hotel La Terrace Oceanfront (Hollywood, USA)

The hotel location is great! You are right in the middle of the boardwalk and directly across from the beach. There are plenty of great places within walking distance as well. Nice restaurants are just a step away.

Make sure you take advantage of the terrace. Wide-sweeping ocean views of the stunning white beach with palm trees swaying in the breeze, you can't beat it. There are plenty of loungers and tables too.

The hotel owner is lovely and makes a real effort to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The facility utilizes environmentally friendly products for pest control, which is helpful if you have allergies. It's more of a mom-and-pop run business. It's not the Ritz, but it's fine for what it is

You might find that your shower curtain is a bit worn out and moldy. Beds offer no support and the tiled floor has cracks. The water pressure is a dribble and maid service is totally inadequate. For instance, you may find that your floor has not been cleaned so sand is a continuous problem. Overall, the place looks a bit rundown and could do with a re-do.

What good is a kitchen without utensils? If you have no pots, pans, coffee machine, hot water boiler, paper towels, and only a few spoons with a couple of glasses, what can you do with it? Not very much.

There is no actual office, you have to check-in at a tee-shirt shop on the boardwalk. In addition, the staff disappears in the late evening, so you are basically on your own. By the way, parking is expensive. It's in the back of the building and spaces are tight.
