Set on a gorgeous stretch of beach just north of the city centre, Le Reve by MIJ is a smaller property offering sleek modern accommodation and a great flow from hotel to beach. The rooms have a contemporary Mexican design that make maximum use of the spectacular views to be had, by incorporating large windows and private terraces. The star amenity at Le Reve by MIJ is undoubtedly its outdoor pool and terrace, which looks out onto the gorgeous turquoise sea. There is also a small onsite spa where guests may book a massage or other treatment. The Merlot Restaurant and Bar serves international cuisine in a light and airy environment, while Cooee is a stylish poolside bar that serves drinks and light meals. The main attraction is perhaps the lovely white sand beach right out front. Those headed to Cozumel will find the ferry terminal in central Playa del Carman, 6.3 miles from Le Reve by MIJ.
Many guests liked this property for what it was not - a typical Mexican beachfront mega-resort. It is actually quite small, but guests appreciated the sense of calm that prevailed, and argued that since it was also right on the beach, they really had the same outlook as at one of the mega-resorts, but a much more tranquil atmosphere.
It was very nearly impossible to find a harsh word written about the staff. On the contrary, many guests went out of their way to commend them for being not only welcoming and friendly, but also very attentive, seeming to know their guests needs almost before they did themselves.
Guests really seemed to like the general pool area, saying it was well thought out. They especially liked the pool bar, which they said was the best spot to grab light meals and drinks during the day.
