Pets are welcome.
It’s wonderful that pets are allowed at this hotel, especially if you like to travel with your favourite canine companion. Your dog will love it too, because Rouen is such a dog-friendly place and there are so many great walks to be had just outside your door. In addition, your furry friend is welcome to accompany you to the hotel’s bar. There is a fee for this amenity.

Negative Reviews
negative:
There’s no restaurant in the hotel.
There is no restaurant at Mercure Rouen Centre Cathédrale which could be a bit of a drag, as the hotel’s Bar does serve lunch and only features a light menu in the evenings. Luckily, there are dozens of restaurants and cafes located nearby such as La Rose des vents Snacks, which offers French and European fare.
negative:
There are smoking rooms here.
This is a smoking hotel which is evident in many of the guest rooms here, as the acrid, stale smell of second-hand smoke is hard to miss. If this is a problem for you, be sure to state your preference for a non-smoking room upon booking, and then again at check-in.
negative:
The temperature controls are iffy.
Depending on the season, you may find that that the guest rooms are sweltering or freezing as the temperature controls are iffy at best. Unfortunately, the hotel staff can do little about this problem as the heating and cooling system seems to be quite an old one.
