Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly staff make the service here stand out.
The hotel has been owned by the same family since 1964, and the standard of service here is exceptional. You will be truly cared about by the staff while you stay here, and could find yourself adding to the hotel’s list of regularly returning guest.
positive:
Access to a private beach via beautiful gardens.
The beautifully landscaped hotel gardens surrounding the path that leads down to a private beach are a joy to walk through and spend time in. From the private beach you can walk along the coast to reach the pedestrian ferry heading to Helford.
positive:
Incredibly relaxing place at a reasonable rate.
Meudon is just outside of the main town of Falmouth, close to the coast and in idyllic surrounds. It is a fantastic place to relax and unwind, all yours at a price that won’t put too much of a dent in your bank balance.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Dated decor could do with an update.
The hotel has a traditional appearance, but you may think that it’s just down-right old fashioned. Some of the communal areas in the hotel are a bit tatty and the entire property would benefit from some fresh redecoration.
negative:
Old plumbing equals poor showering experience.
The outdated plumbing here has an affect on both the water pressure and the water heating. There is little power in the water coming from the shower head, and it can take some time for hot water to reach the taps.
negative:
Restaurant and bar menu a bit pricey.
The cost of having a meal in the restaurant at Meudon does not quite match the quality of the food or the dining experience. Falmouth has many great restaurants so head into the town and dine out.
