This was clearly what guests most enjoyed about staying at the Mondschein. It seems most were in Innsbruck to explore the town itself, rather than the surrounding mountains, and the location could hardly be better. Guests describe the walk over the River Inn to the Old Town as very short.
While guests were not exactly raving about it, many did say that they really enjoyed the breakfast. Though just a simple buffet, it seemed to have enough variety and quantity to keep everyone happy.
Again and again guests mentioned how helpful and genuinely friendly the staff were. For many it seemed as if they truly went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their guests had a good holiday.
Firstly, guests said that it was virtually impossible to find suitable street parking nearby. Secondly, while there were parking garages in the area, they were a little bit up the hill which made for an inconvenient journey to and fro each time they drove somewhere.
Quite a large number of guests mentioned that they could smell smoke in their rooms and the hallways, despite it being a non-smoking hotel. Some speculated people were simply smoking in their rooms anyway, or alternatively the smell was coming from the bar downstairs. But whatever the reason, they didn't like it.
This was a fairly common complaint. Guests simply felt that, considering the star rating, room rate and fact hat they weren't in the middle of an expensive capital city, the rooms were too small.
