Positive Reviews
positive:
Walking distance to Downtown Madrid.
If you're looking to be close to Downtown Madrid yet out of the hustle and bustle of the City Centre, NH Madrid Ribera del Manzanares could be a good option for you. Atlético Madrid's Vicente Calderón Stadium is also a short walk away.
positive:
A fitness fanatics dream.
With an on-site gym (with water, towels and fresh-fruit provided), healthy buffet breakfast options and bikes available to rent, the hotel may be the ideal spot for fitness fanatics. For an authentic experience of Madrid guests advise joining the locals and walking, jogging or cycling along the river path in the evenings and on weekends.
positive:
Modern, comfortable rooms.
The guest rooms here are modern, spacious and clean and, perhaps courtesy of the 30cm thick mattresses and pillow menu, a comfortable choice for travellers. Those staying more than a few nights may wish to consider a junior suite; for 36sqm of overall space and a separate living area.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Less than desirable views.
Some rooms do boast stunning views across the Manzanares River, as far as the Royal Palace; 2.5km away. These are the rooms to request as, otherwise, your room may face to a building site cum urban wasteland on the opposite side of the building.
negative:
Wi-Fi requires improvement.
Wi-Fi at the hotel is consistently rated as 'poor'; slow and difficult to connect to. You can, apparently, upgrade from the free service but, for most, the improvement is only marginal, and not worth the outlay.
negative:
No chance of a nightcap.
Unless you like to be tucked up before 9pm, the chances of you being able to obtain a nightcap from the bar are slim. Facilities close well before midnight and, given its location, there are few alternatives nearby for a swift drink before bed.
