One of the big positives about the Palm Court Hotel that has been brought up on many occasions relates the friendliness of the owner. It is said that the owner is very welcoming and sociable.

Most of the rooms at the hotel – according to past visitors – are very spacious. On top of that, the rooms also offer nice sea views of Walpole Bay.

Although the Palm Court Hotel is not right in the middle of Margate, the accommodation is close enough that it is within walking distance to the attractions the city has to offer – such as the Shell Grotto and Winter Gardens. Not only that, but it is only a few yards away from the Queen’s Promenade and beach.

One of the biggest negatives about the Palm Court Hotel relates to the state of the rooms. Not only has the décor been described as outdated and mismatched, but the furnishings and appliances are generally old and worn out.

Most guests that have stayed at this hotel have noted some form of issue when it comes to cleanliness. From dirty linen to litter being found in rooms, a number of problems have been brought up in the past.

Despite some visitors to the Palm Court Hotel being happy with the breakfast, the majority were less than impressed. The dissenting voices claim that there is little variety at breakfast time, whilst the ingredients used are not to the standard expected.
