Hotel Pestana Colombos (Porto Santo, Portugal)

The guest rooms at this hotel are fantastic, they are very spacious and very clean. The decorations and furniture used are modern and good quality. There is ample storage and he safety deposit boxes are free of charge. The private balconies offer fantastic ocean views and ample privacy. The refrigerators are well-stocked.

The Pestana Colombos Premium Club is located just a short walk to the local beach. The beach is sandy and the beach staff keep it very clean. The beach is in a bay and so the water is warm and clear of stones and seaweed.

The staff at this hotel are very warm and welcoming. The reception staff will happily help you make reservations or give you directions around the island. The entertainment staff are very funny and they keep ou very entertained. Nothing is too much trouble at this hotel.

The Pestana Colombos Premium Club shares its restaurants, which are themed, with the hotel next door. Due to the two hotels sharing the restaurant facilities it can be very difficult to get a reservation or to get in without one. The food is not up to the standard of the hotel,the food is often lukewarm or cold and there are long queues in the mornings.

The hotels have a private beach where you can rent a sun lounger for the day. The sun loungers are very expensive. Although this was an issue for some guests, the beach staff happily supply you with a windbreaker and an umbrella free of charge if you lie on your towel on the sand.

The bars at this hotel can become very busy and the staff are hard-pressed to keep up with the pace of the service. There is very little seating around the bars, especially around the poolside bar.
