Positive Reviews
positive:
A good base for sightseers...
Though it is a little outside the centre, the hotel is popular with both business travellers and tourists for its close proximity to both the Victory Monument Skytrain station (to which complimentary tuk-tuk service is provided) and the Airlink station, which is within walking distance. Guests widely report that it is easy to explore all of Bangkok using public transportation.
positive:
Clean, modern rooms and a beautiful pool...
Few guests fail to mention the fabulous outdoor infinity pool, and guests who get rooms on the fourth floor in the Garden Wing of the hotel enjoy immediate access to it. Guests who stay on the higher, Executive Floors often note that the premium price is well worth it for the well-equipped executive lounge with its delightful hosts. The rooms are generally described as very clean and exceptionally comfortable.
positive:
Welcoming, attentive staff...
The front desk, spa, and wait staff are frequently praised for their very attentive, thoughtful, and personable customer service. The breakfast buffet receives many high marks as well.

Time for an update...
Several recent travellers have noted that the decor is a little dated, and have also reported a variety of maintenance issues (plumbing, furnishings, etc); however, in 2016, the hotel is undergoing an interior renovation.
negative:
Communication barriers...
Though the staff receives largely positive reviews, a few travellers have been frustrated by their varying levels of fluency in English. Some also report long queues at the front desk or at the buffet.
negative:
Too cool a pool...
The outdoor, unheated pool can be too chilly for some depending on the weather. Others are annoyed by the difficulty of getting a taxi or find the neighbourhood too quiet.
