Spiti Nikos is a three-star hotel with 19 rooms that is set in tree gardens of Danilia, Greece. These self-catering rooms are just one mile away from Gouvia Beach. Rooms and apartments are equipped with a television, telephone, wardrobe and air conditioner. It has a kitchenette that has a fridge and kitchenware. Most of the guests felt that this place is the perfect getaway for a relaxed weekend. It is located in a tranquil countryside place with lovely gardens where the guests could take a few breaths of relief from the hectic city life. Corfu town is an old city with Venetian charm. Since it is only five miles away from the airport, this place is a good choice for many guests. Some guests also consider it to be ideal for cycling, hiking and many such activities.
The pool area is good with no rush at all for the sun beds. The surrounding trees and gardens provide the adequate amount of shade required in the pool. It has a deep end (three metres) and a shallow end about a metre deep for small kids. There is a net dividing the shallow and deep end which acted as a makeshift volleyball net.
The breakfast is delicious and has a good variety. It included a long list of eatables like bread, pies, meat, cakes, cheese and even desserts. The food in the evening is also tasty and has a traditional Greek menu. The staff in the hotel is very courteous and thoughtful. Even the chef came out to talk to few guests and gladly offered to cook anything that they wanted.
The Wi-Fi connection is very patchy and fails to connect most of the times. This came across as quite a big disappointment for the guests who wanted to work online.
The air conditioners in the rooms were not working at all at times, which made the room too stuffy and hot to sleep or rest.
Though the food was delicious, some of the guests felt that the meal timings were quite late. Breakfast was served post 9:30 am and supper was after 9 pm.
