This motel's location just off US Route 101 appealed to many guests. It put motorists within easy reach of the Levi's Stadium in San Jose for San Francisco 49ers games. It was also about 25 minutes' drive from central San Francisco. Non-motorists appreciated being 15 minutes' walk from Belmont Station, although dining options within walking distance were limited apart from a cafe next door.

Due to its reasonable rates, many travelers said they got fair value for money at this motel. Although the rooms only offered the basic amenities for washing and sleeping, they were reportedly more than sufficiently clean, comfortable and spacious for a shorter stay. There was praise for the modern decor and wood-effect flooring; extended stay rooms with kitchenettes won the most praise.

Reviewers often described staff as pleasant, helpful and courteous. Guests usually experienced a swift check-in but sometimes there were mix-ups with reservations on arrival.

Guests disliked paying extra for Wi-Fi access, especially as there were claims that the network was beset by slow speeds and a poor signal in some parts of the building.
