The interior is divided into two floors with bathroom facilities on the lower level and a playful mezzanine bedroom above. Stroll to local cafés in the fashionable neighbourhood of De Pijp or take a walk into the centre of Amsterdam along the Amstel river (25 minutes). From 1912 to 2017 the Nieuwe Amstelbrug bridge house accommodated Amsterdam’s bridge keepers. In 2017 the bridge house started a new chapter as one of SWEETS hotel's 28 hotel rooms. As with every SWEET, Nieuwe Amstelbrug’s interior is inspired by its architectural history. To get to bridge house Nieuwe Amstelbrug from Amsterdam Central Station, just take metro 51, 53 or 54 and exit at Wibautstraat (5 min). From there, it's just a few minutes walk to the bridge house. Bridge house Nieuwe Amstelbrug is situated just outside the city centre, adjacent to neighbourhood 'De Pijp', one of the most popular areas in Amsterdam. Take a stroll on the famous Albert Cuypmarkt in the morning, grab some lunch at the end and visit the museums around Museum Square with renewed energy. Don't feel like walking? Hop on the tram, train or bus – all around the corner of Nieuwe Amstelbrug.
