Positive Reviews
positive:
Welcoming staff members.
The entire staff at Howards is kind and eager to help you during your stay, and no issue with providing spare cots, linens, or toiletries as needed. They're also skilled at providing directions around the area and suggesting sightseeing destinations.
positive:
Lovely restaurant meals.
The overall flavours, variety, and atmosphere of the restaurant at Howards is top-notch, and you'll be able to get nearly any meal you desire here, ranging from hot breakfast options to more comprehensive and formal evening dishes. The full bar and its range of television channels is another fantastic area.
positive:
Perfect location.
Howards is located extremely close to the town centre and its range of shopping outlets and nightclubs, but also provides handy access to the beach, paths leading up a nearby ascent, and some of the more relaxing areas in town, such as the coastal parks or on-site garden section.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Far from exclusive.
Because of the hotel's policy of allowing guests to eat at the in-house restaurant, it may be far more crowded or noisy than you expect from a luxury-themed hotel. Fortunately, the parking for the hotel is private and included free with your stay, limiting the number of attendees each night.
negative:
Outdated fixtures and furniture.
The hotel has been through some renovations and is scheduled for further changes, but the temperamental showers, occasionally poor insulation, and old linens are a cause for concern. While nothing is outright broken, you might be disappointed by the quality of your room.
negative:
Poorly soundproofed.
The rooms are not as quiet as they ought to be, due to lapses in the room's noise cancelling designs. You can often hear showers, moving guests, or doors through the walls of these rooms, which could upset light sleepers.
