    The port of Saint-Malo is less than 16 miles away ... and from the accommodation, it's an easy walk (*about 10 minutes) to shops, restaurants and the historic centre of this old port town.

    English is widely spoken and everyone here seems to be very friendly and helpful. Being so close to the ferries from the UK attunes the area, generally, to the whims and fads of the Brits.

    The accommodation is actually quite spacious and the kitchen area functions well. Parking is easy and free and - being so close to the town centre's shops and restaurants - there's no need to bother with transport and parking costs. All in all, it's a good value and economical solution.

    It's not worth bothering with this. Just go and enjoy your day and pick up a snack in one of the much better value cafes in the area. *‘Pas de points' for breakfast!

    All the minor necessities are absent, so you'll have to go on a mini shopping spree before you start the holiday. Things like cleaning liquids, cloths and loo rolls are among items on this list

    If you want the room cleaned - that's an extra cost! Generally, cleaning and maintenance could be better. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. North facing rooms don't get the sun at all. Ceilings are high, so the atmosphere is that of an institution. Also … if on the top floor you'll need to contend with sloping ceilings and walls as well!
