Positive Reviews
positive:
Exceptional staff
Staff are very friendly and well mannered,
stopping work to greet guests as they pass. They are efficient and will gladly
give any assistance that is needed. Guests say staff have gone beyond what was
expected when they needed help.
positive:
Superb central location
Guests say that the hotel is right in the heart
of things, having a good choice of shops and restaurants nearby and being very
conveniently located for exploring places of interest in Kyoto. You will be
able to walk to many areas or use the bus stations just a few-minutes walk
away. It is worth noting though that despite the hotel being in a good central
location, the subway station is not close by.
positive:
Good amenities included
The hotel provides everything you will need for
a comfortable say. From sleepwear and slippers to a vanity kit including dental
toothbrush and toothpaste, forgetting something will not lessen the enjoyment
of your stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Small rooms
Japanese hotel rooms are often quite small and so in some of the hotel rooms you may find that you do not have as much space as you would like. However, guests say the rooms are clean and very comfortable.
negative:
Not the best way to start the day
Some guests do not rate the breakfast very highly saying that the selection is poor or average, and that they do not think it represents very good value for the money paid.
negative:
Can't open the windows
It is not possible to open the windows in rooms. This has bothered some people when they have not been able to get any fresh air into their hot, stuffy room, especially as the temperature controls are controlled centrally from outside individual rooms.
