positive:
Friendly and efficient staff
Staff at
this hotel give really great customer service. They are very helpful,
organising airport transfers and being obliging of special requests. They have
great local knowledge of Singapore, giving clear directions and making their
own suggestions for places you might want to visit.
positive:
Great local area
Guests enjoy
staying in the Tiong Bahru area of Singapore. As the oldest residential area in
Singapore there is interesting local history, wonderful Art Deco buildings, and
a vibrant local atmosphere. There is a local market, plenty of good places to
shop, and reputable cafes to eat at.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Compact rooms
Rooms are noted to be on the small side. Although they are not described as cramped, and guests still find them to be comfortable, some guests thought that they were most suitable for guests wanting somewhere to stay for a shorter period rather than longer.
negative:
Disappointing breakfast
Guests are not particularly impressed with the breakfast available at the hotel. They say that there is a great choice of breakfast options available locally and that the breakfast at the hotel does not compare favourably with these in terms of the quality or value for money.
negative:
Room facilities could be improved
The rooms are found to be rather dimly lit, so there is not good light for reading. Some guests would have appreciated more electrical sockets to be able to charge electrical items, and bathrooms do not have a mirror or anywhere to hang towels.
