Splendid views
If you can imagine relaxing at the on-site bar, Brothy's, with a famous whiskey, or ale, then you will be in the right location at this hotel. Guests love the view of the mountains, as well as the Loch Leven, and will stay they usually stay until closing time.
positive:
The coffee taste like more
Once you have tried the coffee at this hotel, you will definitely be back for more. Guests say it could have something to do with the fact that it is so cold outside, nonetheless almost all guests agree that the coffee is something special.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Shower pressure lacking a bit
If you enjoy a good pressurised shower you might be a little disappointed with the trickle of water at MacDonald Hotel. There are times where the water sprays out like normal, but it varies very suddenly from normal to a trickle.

Where is the receptionist?
Some visitors arrived to check in during lunch time, but found that there was no one there to welcome them. Regardless, it was later realised that reception and check-in only begin in the afternoon.

Rooms are cold on arrival
Although the rooms do get as warm as toast, it is disappointing, according to guests, that they have to arrive to a very cold room initially. There have been some suggestions that the heating should be put into action some time in the late morning, so that the rooms are perfect by the time guests arrive.
