    Helpful staff.

    Many guests took the time to say that staff were some of the best that they had encountered. Kind and responsive, staff went out of their way to take care of guests, and their professional attitude was noted.

    Peace and quiet.

    Guests loved the location, which provided easy access to downtown in addition to a peaceful setting. Windows opened to let guests breathe in the fresh air, and pet owners were especially thankful for the sliding patio doors that backed onto a green space. Not to mention the 25 mile riverside pathway that connects 800 acres of outdoor areas directly accessible from the hotel.

    Meals here received top marks, but guests were especially enamored with the buffet breakfast. Options were plentiful, and the well prepared food was definitely worth getting up for. Cocktails and live music were another highlight for many.

    Spread out.

    There isn't an elevator on the premises, and some guests were inconvenienced by this. The good news is that the hotel is only two stories, but the bad news is that the grounds are very spread out, and it could be a long walk from the lobby to your room.

    A few guests found this property to be on the older side. While well maintained, decor was sometimes considered dated, and those in search of a hotel with a more slick, modern look might want to look elsewhere.

    Guests recommended double checking directions because several found it hard to find, even with the assistance of GPS. You're sure to be rewarded when you get there, but make sure you sort out a route ahead of time.
