Guests appreciate this location's proximity to the beach, as well as all the nearby attractions. The Pavilion Nostalgia Amusement Park, Pelicans Baseball Stadium, Broadway at the Beach, and NASCAR Speed Park are all nearby.

The rooms at the Boardwalk hotel offer oceanfront views, which guests greatly appreciated. They cite that a great view is important to their beach stays, and that this destination does deliver well in that respect.

Sometimes you just want to grab some quick sun, but don't feel like devoting the time to making it down to the beach and dealing with the crowds. Fortunately, there is a plethora of pools at this location to accommodate such guests, including three outdoor pools, a kiddie pool, and an indoor heated pool.

Quite a number of guests were appalled by the state of the guest rooms at this location. They describe the rooms simply as "dirty," have commented on water damage in some situations, and unsurprisingly note that there is a mold problem, as well.

The potential health ramifications of mold are of course not to be taken lightly, and no doubt due to the water damage and associated mold, some guests note that there is also a dank smell that pervades some rooms and areas of the hotel.

A few guests complain that the interior of Boardwalk is really showing its age. Furniture is looking worn and the lobby and public areas are looking dated in general. The hotel apparently can greatly benefit from renovations.
